Gen3 seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to support the zero trust and data and inventory tagging program for the IRS. The Systems Engineer will provide expert-level engineering support for design, development, implementation, and integration of data inventory and tagging capabilities across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments including AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud, and Azure.

  • Engineer and implement data discovery, tagging, protection, and digital rights management capabilities.
  • Support Cybersecurity Information Protection Enhancement Controls tool integration across data loss prevention, data inventory and tagging, CASB/SASE, and SIEM platforms.
  • Conduct lifecycle engineering (design, testing, deployment, operations and maintenance).
  • Develop architecture documentation, solution designs, integration plans, and technical troubleshooting guidance.
  • Support DEV/TEST/PROD upgrades and solution validation.
  • Participate in alternative solution research, prototype development, and hybrid framework design.
  • Bachelor of science or engineering in computer science, and/or related fields.
  • 10+ years engineering in hybrid cloud or cybersecurity environments.
  • At least one of the following certifications or similar: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Comp TIA Network+, ITIL, CCNA.
  • Deep understanding of DLP, DIT, Zero Trust Data Pillar, IAM, encryption, SIEM, and policy design.
  • Experience across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Linux/UNIX systems.
  • A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
  • Candidates must possess either an active green card or citizenship.
