The On-Site Cybersecurity Network Engineer plays a mission-critical role in protecting the casino’s gaming operations, financial transactions, player data, and enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for architecting, engineering, and securing next-generation network and cybersecurity solutions that support 24/7 casino operations.  The Cybersecurity Network Engineer ensures compliance with gaming commission regulations, NIGC requirements (for tribal properties), PCI DSS, and all internal security standards. The Cybersecurity Network Engineer requires advanced expertise in modern network security architecture, real-time threat detection, zero-trust frameworks, and segmented network environments that support gaming, cage and count rooms, hospitality systems, and administrative operations. This role collaborates with security leadership, internal auditors, gaming regulators, and third-party vendors to maintain a secure and highly available environment.  Responsibilities include maintaining and administering all aspects of the company’s computer networks, including network hardware & software, assisting with disaster recovery design, planning and implementation, securing and protecting all data in motion, configuring, monitoring and maintaining firewalls, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.

  • Maintaining and administering the company’s computer networks and related network environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, wireless, and configurations.
  • Configuring and managing firewalls and other network security devices.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise security solutions, including firewalls and VPN.
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Working with the team performing disaster recovery operations when required.
  • Coordinating computer network access and use.
  • Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.
  • Create and maintain detailed Network and Server Documentation and Procedures.
  • Knowledge: Maintains a thorough knowledge of infrastructure, servers, server-side software, and network operating systems. Stays abreast of current technology.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless networking.
  • In-depth understanding of the OSI Model.
  • Ability to map and create accurate network diagrams and using Microsoft Visio.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Network Engineering Aptitude test.
  • Must be at least 21 and older and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Experience in Casino, gaming, tribal government, or high-security environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Aruba Switches Preferred.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls Preferred.
