About the position

VTG is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst (Mid) in Washington, DC to provide support to our Navy customer. The Cybersecurity Analyst will serve as an RMF and Cyber SME within the Program Protection Working Group and provide direct support working as the Lead Cybersecurity Analyst representing and augmenting the government supporting Authorizations and Assessment and Cyber Security efforts. This position is mostly onsite 3-4 days in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directly managing new and existing Navy Advanced Radar information system ATO packages.
  • Oversee and maintain the Cyber security posture and Authority to Operate compliance measures for all RMF packages.
  • Serve as the Lead Cybersecurity Analyst and Cyber Security SME who ensures that the highest quality products and services are delivered.
  • Lead and manage efforts to bring Advanced Radars platform information technology systems through the full life cycle of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes to achieve/renew Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Lead and manage the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities according to (CNSSI-1253, NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, etc.) for all Advanced Radars information systems.
  • Support post Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Phase ATO development, cyber policy implementation, artifact development, requirements development and implementation updates.
  • Perform verification and validation of delivered systems; develop test plans and procedures.
  • Assist with the assessment of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans & Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Communicate risks and issues to the Government client, prime contractor, and PEO IWS 2.0 designated Qualified Navy Validator and Functional Authorizing Official.

Requirements

  • Possess DOD SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of Navy experience providing information assurance, engineering, or operational support, including experience with eMASS and DISA STIGs and STIG Viewer experience
  • Hands-on experience to validate control implementations and test procedures
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be energetic, thoughtful, product-oriented, dependable, flexible, open-minded individual with an eagerness to learn with demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated forward thinking and proactive problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an acquisition program office environment, with documentation, protocols, formats, and deadlines
