About the position

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to support the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). This analyst will play an important role helping to build a flexible and responsive IT environment that meets NCTC's evolving and changing mission priorities. Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to apply security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
  • Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations' continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
  • Develop security assessment plans for systems, including the objectives, scope, schedule, required documentation, possible risks, and other logistical items for security assessments.
  • Develop cloud service provider testing approach from security perspective.
  • Provide validation of security control tests for cloud service providers.
  • Coordinate access to systems and approvals for scanning activities.
  • Conduct ad hoc testing on an as-needed basis to assist with development activities or vulnerability remediation.
  • Review/test system security controls (managerial, operational, and technical) to determine adequacy against federal requirements.
  • Document plans of action and milestones for corrective action following assessment activities and in response to identified vulnerabilities.
  • Draft security policies and procedures including the system security plan, and agency specific policies in accordance with NIST requirements.
  • Routinely conduct risk assessments to quantify impacts of vulnerabilities.
  • Manage and control changes to specific systems, assessing the security impact of those changes, and maintaining system security configuration.
  • Support achievement of Authorizations to Develop (ATD), Authorizations to Test (ATT), and Authorizations to Operate (ATO).

Requirements

  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • BS degree with 5-7 years of experience, MS degree with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • Cloud provider Security Certifications, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
