About the position
The RN Circulator at AdventHealth is responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care in the surgical suite, functioning as a Circulator and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. This role requires knowledge of instrumentation, sterile techniques, and adherence to AORN guidelines to maintain a safe surgical environment throughout the perioperative process. The RN Circulator will also participate in planning, administering, and supervising nursing activities during patient care in the perioperative and intraoperative settings.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the surgical suite as a Circulator and assist the surgeon during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a safe surgical environment during the perioperative course.
- Plan, administer, and supervise nursing activities during perioperative and intraoperative care of the patient.
- Adhere to the Adventist Health System Corporate Compliance Plan and applicable regulations.
- Assist in tasks directed by the specialty coordinator/charge or manager of the CVOR.
- Maintain thorough and complete records of each patient's perioperative procedure according to established standards of care.
- Care for specimens properly and handle their disposition according to hospital/lab policy.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in the English language.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current active licensure of Registered Nurse-State of Florida.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Operating Room (Vascular) or 1-year CVOR experience.
