This position involves ensuring compliance with local Customs laws and Partner Government Agencies, maintaining exceptional customer service, and assisting management with team productivity and audits. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members, streamlining processes, and maintaining high team morale.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Workboard, reports and desk checks to ensure timeliness of file logging, entry filing and billing.
  • Ensure the team's activities are in compliance with the regulations of local Customs laws and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).
  • Ensure the team is compliant with the Operational Process Standards and works within the SOP requirements of the client(s).
  • Ensure the team operates in accordance with the policies and procedures of Expeditors.
  • Ensure our clients are receiving an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Assist management with team Workboard and productivity, and join conference calls and/or pilot programs as designated by management.
  • Assist team members with problem solving and customer service.
  • Assist management with entry audits and corrective action.
  • Perform all functions of Brokerage Agents including processing entries, meeting KPI's, and working with Customs & PGA's.
  • Ensure all team members are cross-trained and that each client has a primary and backup agent assigned.
  • Assist with creating DLSOPs and transitioning new clients within the team.
  • Periodically review existing DLSOPs for accuracy and update as necessary.
  • Ensure all team members are following Expeditors' credit and OCL process.
  • Review rate schedules for accuracy.
  • Assist management to ensure all files are billed timely, accurately and accounting discrepancies are resolved.
  • Monitor overtime and assist management with reviewing profitability and productivity.
  • Maintain team's morale and low level of unplanned turnover.
  • Assist in training, motivating, challenging, and mentoring other employees.
  • Conduct routine team meetings to ensure awareness of changes and updates.
  • Work with management to prepare Annual Employee Reviews for team members.
  • Ensure all team members meet or exceed training requirements and deadlines.
  • Embrace and assist in streamlining processes via various systems and initiatives.
  • Be proficient in all Expeditors' systems.
  • Proactively embrace and promote the Company's 10 cultural attributes.

Requirements

  • Well-rounded knowledge of Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Working knowledge and experience with PGA entries
