About the position

The County of Riverside is seeking candidates for the position of Customer Support Representative - Level II, responsible for providing efficient courier and mail delivery services across Riverside County. This role involves daily delivery and pickup of various mail types and important documents, operating a county vehicle for a significant portion of the work shift, and managing mailroom functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in courier services and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently carry out mailroom functions: sort, weigh, presort, bundle, label, and tray mail by zip code.
• Determine production workflow and schedule equipment usage; complete postal forms for residual U.S. mail.
• Load and unload supplies, materials, and equipment from trucks; inspect for damage and quantity received.
• Maintain, store, and process records; file and retrieve files, records, and other documents.
• Deliver and pick-up documents, materials, records, and supplies using a County vehicle.
• Compile, run, and edit statistical and narrative reports; support projects or moves by compiling information.
• Verify and process incidents for equipment requests; responsible for shipping and receiving assets.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
• One year as a Riverside County Customer Support Representative I or two years in mail delivery service, supply, warehouse, or related fields.
• Possession of a valid California Driver License: Class C.
• Knowledge of basic customer service procedures and inventory tracking.

Nice-to-haves

• Possession of a valid CAL/OSHA Forklift Certificate.
