About the position
The Customer Solutions Engineering Intern will support the AP1000 Engineered Solutions team at Westinghouse, focusing on understanding customer needs and drafting proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000 Plant design. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance product strategies and manage project statuses while ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Support the AP1000 Customer Solutions department staff in understanding customer needs and helping to draft proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000 Plant design.
- Identify and collect engineering improvements and optimizations.
- Support engineering activities to aggregate product financials as well as regular financial forecasting.
- Support engineering activities to develop resource demand signals for GOS engineering and manufacturing.
- Support project teams to understand the status of projects, assisting in the resolution of challenges during project execution.
- Assist in classifying intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and innovation ideas.
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (other Engineering disciplines will not be considered).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Completion of Sophomore year college by May 2025.
