About the position

The Customer Site Packaging position at Fastenal is a part-time role focused on facilitating the movement of products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Employees will engage in various tasks including inspecting and packaging products, operating packaging machines, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and packaging product
• Using a computer to perform job
• Running a variety of packaging machines
• Maintaining the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks over long periods of time
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
