About the position

The Customer Service/Sales Representative at Attco, Inc. plays a crucial role in acting as a liaison between the company and its clients. This position involves providing product and service information, answering customer inquiries, and offering tailored solutions to meet unique customer needs. The representative will work collaboratively with the sales and design teams while also engaging directly with clients across various industries. The role emphasizes a positive attitude, teamwork, and a commitment to customer satisfaction in a fun and energetic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls; answer customer queries and complaints, redirect calls, take and deliver messages as needed.
  • Be the first point of contact and provide superior customer service to clients via phone, email or in person.
  • Perform informal and formal needs assessments for each customer to recommend appropriate goods and services.
  • Make outbound phone calls to establish new relationships and foster existing client relationships.
  • Process phone orders, modifications, and escalate complaints across a number of communication channels.
  • Generate and maintain detailed customer files and accounts by preparing quotes, documenting communications, and filing.
  • Contact customers via phone/email to follow up on active/previous projects.
  • Contact customers to ensure satisfaction with product ordered.
  • Maintain sales booking and shipping reports.
  • Maintain customer contacts lists.
  • Misc. office work as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone with new, current, and prospective customers.
  • Experience in operating a multi-line phone system.
  • Ability to cooperate with and support other members of the customer service team.
  • Demonstrate a friendly, helpful disposition during sales contacts and easily develop rapport with clients.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and making minor decisions without direct supervision.
  • Basic math skills for creating sales quotes and calculating discount percentages.
  • Ability to maintain company files efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent computer & keyboard skills.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Access.
  • Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred; willing to train the right applicant.
  • Enthusiastic, organized, extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4 years of experience in a customer service role, customer service sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
  • High-School Diploma/GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM type program.
  • CAD Experience (SolidWorks, AutoCad, etc.)
