About the position

As a Customer Service Representative at Synchrony, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our cardholders receive exceptional service. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound calls from customers, addressing their inquiries and providing solutions to their problems. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized customer information, authorize sales, and build strong relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues. Proficiency in computer skills is essential, as you will need to manage information across multiple windows and type while conversing with customers. Occasionally, you may be required to commute to the nearest office, so living within a commutable distance of Charlotte, NC is necessary. This position also requires compliance with federal regulations, including the ability to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from cardholders and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain up-to-date computerized customer information.
  • Resolve inquiries and authorize sales transactions.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of customer service experience or military equivalent experience.
  • Confidence using a computer and managing information in multiple windows.
  • Proficient typing skills while conversing with customers.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must live within a 2.5-hour commute of the Synchrony location in Charlotte, NC.
  • Willingness to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation.
