About the position
The Customer Service Representative/Cashier at Mazda Lakeland plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive customer experience during service visits. This position involves managing customer interactions, processing payments, and providing support to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor. The representative will also assist in various clerical tasks and ensure the service area is organized and welcoming.
Responsibilities
- Contact customers after service visits to check on their experience.
- Manage customer experience while in the dealership for service.
- Provide customer status updates.
- Check out customers when completing loaner agreements.
- Assist in the check-out process.
- Shuttle customers when needed.
- Assist on the Service Drive as needed.
- Compute customer bills and process payments.
- Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; record amounts received.
- Make change and issue receipts to customers.
- Reconcile cash drawer daily.
- Answer customer questions about services performed or products purchased, or refer them to appropriate individuals.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, referring dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Provide clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and keep the work area neat and clean.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications at once.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Prior sales/customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to learn and operate various computer programs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Pass background screening requirements.
