About the position
The Customer Service Merchandiser role at G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. involves serving customers by selling, ordering, and merchandising products in large format accounts. The primary goal is to increase company sales and profits through effective product placement and relationship management with retailers.
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales and distribution of products by identifying opportunities with retailers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Store Management to ensure appropriate product ordering.
- Stock, rotate, and display products according to established standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom at retailer locations.
- Ensure proper Point of Sale (POS) items are displayed according to standards.
- Clean all locations where products are displayed, including coolers and racks.
- Communicate with retailers and Pepsi management regarding pricing and product issues.
- Adhere to company policies, standards, and safety requirements.
- Complete daily reports and required paperwork accurately.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in retail sales management or consumer products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; previous VIP experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and insurable to operate a vehicle.
- Knowledge of retail sales environment and grocery/beverage industry.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in merchandising and sales management.
- Familiarity with standard selling practices and customer order writing.
