About the position

The Customer Sales Leader at Campbell Soup Company is responsible for developing and implementing joint business planning for the Wakefern Salty business. This role focuses on driving net sales, managing trade budgets, and ensuring profit and share growth within assigned categories. The position involves close collaboration with key decision-makers and requires strong leadership skills to manage a direct report and oversee the execution of brand strategies and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the E4 system to create optimal customer plans to drive the portfolio.
  • Work closely with direct report on their development/career and driving net sales and share of full portfolio at their customers.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
  • Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending and volume.
  • Utilize shopper and category management practices to link consumer and shopper trends and opportunities.
  • Leverage Sales Strategy resources to develop and implement collaborative marketing programs.
  • Conduct post event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit and spending results.
  • Conduct category business reviews to discuss the state of the business and consumer trends.
  • Understand brand strategies and tactics and implement them with the customer's key decision makers.
  • Develop accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiencies and trade rate.
  • Sell-in new items to customer and work with key customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution.
  • Manage and lead cross portfolio platforms to drive volume, profit and share growth.
  • Identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume and provide direction to Retail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of CPG Industry Sales and/or Category Management experience
  • Strong understanding of and experience with P&L management, trade and forecasting.
