About the position

The Customer Care Advocate role at MetLife is focused on enhancing and strengthening relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and support. This position involves servicing customers who possess MetLife policies, responding to their requests, and assisting with various policy-related inquiries. Advocates are expected to work primarily from home with occasional visits to the office for team events and training.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and strengthen relationships between customers and MetLife.
  • Respond to customer requests via telephone regarding their MetLife policies.
  • Research and discuss options related to various aspects of policies and procedures.
  • Assist with site access and refer requests for policy modifications to appropriate areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work shifts between 8 AM and 11 PM ET, Monday through Friday, including evening shifts.
  • Availability for full training duration from January 6th, 2025, to March 7th, 2025.
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting for different browsers and clearing cookies and cache.
  • Experience navigating up to 10 electronic systems to provide complete responses.
  • Professional and engaging phone voice with a desire to help people.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous call center experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand company products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with superior telephone etiquette.
  • Active listening skills to comprehend and articulate clearly to customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently from home.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and additional hours as needed.
