About The Position
Employees in this class are under close supervision. Essential Functions: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas of academic and administrative buildings, medical facilities, or residence halls and apartments; assisting with maintaining assigned grounds areas; performing all assigned cleaning duties. Must be able to work any shift. Overtime will be required as necessary.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the eighth grade
- Dependable and able to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures
- Familiarity with custodial practices and workplace safety procedures
- Knowledge of custodial materials and equipment used in cleaning operations
- Skill in properly using custodial materials and equipment
- Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to follow simple instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to perform light to heavy manual labor
- Must be able to work any shift
- Overtime will be required as necessary
