About The Position
The Children's Home of Reading is seeking a Custodian/Housekeeping professional to join their team. This full-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and grounds of the property, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows, assisting with laundry, collecting trash, and cleaning company vehicles. The role also includes light snow and ice removal. The Children's Home of Reading has a long-standing history of transforming the lives of at-risk children and families, and this role contributes to their mission by providing a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate basic information in English
- Ability to follow directions, pay attention to detail, and work independently
- Must pass required Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance
- Possess a valid PA driver's license and maintain a good driving record throughout employment
- Must pass a pre-employment Physical & Drug Screening (THC included)
- Possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all required trainings
Responsibilities
- General grounds clean-up
- Light snow and ice removal from property
- Cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows in designated areas
- Assisting in the on-site Laundry facilities
- Collecting and emptying trash
- Cleaning of the company fleet vehicles
