About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the buildings and grounds to include classrooms, common areas, and play fields. Responsible for monitoring and performing required inspections for various systems within the building. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the general safety of the Public by removing snow and ice from the walkways, entries, and play areas as required.
  • Promote the learning environment by performing maintenance, cleaning, and setup requests, within Custodial responsibilities, generated by Building Staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation of the facility, grounds, and equipment while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
  • Support the scheduling of work activities of custodial personnel and contact services as assigned, coordinating with Group Leader and Building Administrator.
  • Utilize positive techniques to supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.
  • Support all District sustainability policies.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of facility operations including electrical, gas/water controls, and Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, and related equipment.
  • Assist all emergency operations personnel as required.
  • Ensure all inspections on building, ground, and equipment are done weekly or as assigned.
  • Utilize and train on effective use of cleaning and restorative materials as required.
  • Ensure Stakeholder satisfaction by coordinating and performing all setups and teardowns in a timely manner.
