The Custodian position at Core Linen Services involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, including production floors, bathrooms, lunchrooms, and offices. The role is essential for ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff, particularly in a healthcare setting. This full-time position operates on the 3rd shift and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitizes all surfaces.
• Follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers and fellow employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy cleaning duties effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control plans.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
