About the position
The Cultivation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cultivation facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company standards. This role involves managing cultivation staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness and compliance of the facility. The supervisor also supports the Cultivation Manager in various tasks related to plant health, product development, and staff training, contributing to the overall success of the cultivation process.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the cultivation facility in accordance with state and company standards.
- Support cultivation agents with schedules, training, and updates on policies and procedures.
- Document, order, and receive all inventory and products, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist the Cultivation Manager in responding to staff questions and resolving conflicts.
- Delegate tasks to cultivation agents to maintain a compliant and clean facility.
- Oversee grow zone and ensure proper documentation of cultivation activities.
- Assist in planning and coordinating product development transitions.
- Monitor and maintain the health of all plants.
- Maintain, sanitize, and document all horticulture equipment.
Requirements
- Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
- Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
- Two years of experience in commercial cannabis production.
- Thorough understanding of state and local cannabis laws.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multitask.
- Two-year degree in horticulture or agricultural field or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- 1-3 years' experience working in an agricultural/horticultural field preferred.
