About the position
The Culinary Manager at American Senior Communities is responsible for overseeing the culinary department, ensuring that residents receive nourishing and well-balanced meals that meet their nutritional needs. The Culinary Manager will also supervise staff, manage resources efficiently, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the culinary department to provide nourishing and attractive meals for residents.
- Supervise culinary servers and cooks, including scheduling and orientation for new employees.
- Hire, train, promote, discipline, and terminate staff in accordance with company guidelines.
- Communicate with residents to ensure satisfaction with culinary services.
- Orient new residents to the culinary services offered and review the culinary service section of the resident handbook.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience as Culinary Manager.
- Certification in a Dietary Manager Course or Associates in Culinary/Hospitality Management.
- Customer service focused with the ability to demonstrate core values of C.A.R.E.
- Current and valid Serv Safe Manager's Food Safety Certificate.
