About the position

Eli's Manhattan is looking for a seasoned Executive Chef to lead its culinary team. The role involves overseeing high-volume food production, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with the founder to innovate and enhance the menu offerings. The Executive Chef will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food quality and consistency across all locations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train a kitchen team of 76 working in multiple locations
  • Oversee kitchen procedures, portioning, and execution
  • Ensure food quality by adhering to brand standards at all times
  • Develop and maintain all recipes and techniques
  • Manage labor costs and food inventory
  • Understand and maintain culinary aspects of profit and loss statement
  • Sourcing and receiving high-quality ingredients
  • Maintain purveyor/vendor relationships
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Comply with local DOH health and safety codes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of culinary experience
  • 5+ years of cooking experience
  • Ability to commute or relocate to New York, NY
