About the position

Responsibilities

• Interprets orders for requested CT exams and produces diagnostic medical images.
• Positions and transfers patients safely for imaging procedures.
• Selects proper technical factors for individual patients and operates imaging equipment as directed.
• Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards during imaging procedures.
• Assists physicians in administering enhancing agents and medications as needed.
• Maintains proficiency in operating all equipment related to CT and special imaging techniques.
• Reports personnel and procedural incidents to the Section Manager.
• Recommends procurement and maintenance of imaging equipment as necessary.
• Maintains current CPR certification and assists in performing first aid when required.
• Remains current with continuing education requirements as mandated by credentialing agencies.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• Experience and capability deemed adequate for the position.
• A.R.R.T. registered or registry eligible upon hire, with A.R.R.T. certification achieved within six months of employment.
• Demonstrates respect for patients, visitors, and fellow employees through courteous behavior.

Nice-to-haves

• ARRT Advanced Level certification in CT Scan or working towards certification.
