About the position
The CT/C-arm Technologist position at RAYUS Radiology involves working as part of a flex team, traveling to outpatient centers in the Twin Cities to perform CT imaging procedures. The role offers opportunities for skill development, including training for those interested in CT as a modality. This full-time position includes a weekend rotation and is eligible for benefits, with options for part-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced CT procedures for diagnostic purposes with minimal supervision.
- Screen patients for precautions or contraindications before exams.
- Prepare patients for CT or diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, explaining the process and providing support.
- Produce diagnostic images and perform quality control tasks as assigned.
- Adjust scan parameters and utilize dose reduction techniques as needed.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work area clean and orderly to promote safety.
- Maintain equipment and assist in keeping an updated radiographic protocol manual.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and assist in training new associates.
Requirements
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently.
- Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.
