About the position

Health Advocates Network is seeking a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at a nationally recognized hospital in York, Maine. This full-time contract position requires a professional with recent experience in the field of CT technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in performing CT scans and will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of imaging while adhering to safety protocols and standards. The CT Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging services to patients. This role is critical in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, and the successful candidate will play a vital part in the patient care process. As a CT Technologist, you will be expected to operate CT equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure that all imaging is performed in accordance with established protocols. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans and ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures and explain the process to them.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 1+ years of recent CT work experience.
  • An active, current state license.
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS for Health Care Providers.
  • Additional certifications may be required.
