About The Position

As a Cruise and Tour Tactician, you will play a critical role in shaping the product strategy and competitive edge of Flight Centre. You’ll source, negotiate, and deliver high-impact cruise and tour deals that resonate with customers and consultants across multiple channels. Working with global and country teams, you’ll ensure our product range remains compelling, commercially strong, and market-leading. This is an exciting opportunity to combine commercial acumen, product expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to drive growth and innovation in a dynamic travel environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years travel industry experience with a strong focus on cruise/tour or category product
  • Minimum 2+ years in a product role with hands-on sourcing and deal creation
  • Proven experience negotiating with suppliers
  • Strong experience working cross-functionally with global stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
  • Strong understanding of product category dynamics and consumer trends
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Experience collaborating with remote/global teams
  • Diploma or higher in business, marketing, tourism, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Source and identify best-in-market cruise and tour deals to support core, campaign, and tactical product ranges
  • Collaborate with Supply/Procurement teams to secure competitive and exclusive offers aligned with category strategy
  • Negotiate tactical deals with suppliers to support campaign and promotional calendars
  • Build and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Analyze supplier pricing structures, margins, and rate plans to ensure commercially viable offers
  • Prioritize high-margin products that maximize ROI and align with business objectives
  • Develop innovative product ranges that support category growth
  • Manage the full lifecycle of product offers from creation to retirement
  • Curate and maintain a library of “hot offers” tailored to regional needs
  • Ensure product content is accurate, compelling, and consistently maintained across systems
  • Partner with Marketing teams to effectively merchandise product across channels
  • Monitor product performance and recommend optimizations
  • Support consultant capability through training materials, webinars, and product tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and consultant networks
  • Gather feedback from consultants to influence future product development
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and campaign effectiveness
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Category leadership
  • Identify underperforming products and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to global processes and collaborate across time zones
  • Partner with Revenue Management and Pricing for optimal pricing strategies
  • Support efficient deal loading with offshore teams and system accuracy
