About the position

The RCP I position at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital involves performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director/manager. The role emphasizes the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to the specific needs of patients, considering their age and population. The RCP I may also take on lead responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care for patients.
• Consider age and population-specific needs in patient care.
• Act as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor, overseeing the section or department during their shift.

Requirements

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 years' experience as a RCP preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• NRP certificate preferred.
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice-to-haves

• NRP certificate preferred.
• 2 years' experience as a RCP preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
