About the position

The Crop Protection Portfolio Manager at Nutrien is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for the crop protection product line in the US and Canada. This role involves collaboration with various teams to assess market conditions, validate product performance, and provide financial analysis to optimize the product portfolio. The position aims to enhance awareness and drive growth in the crop protection sector, aligning with Nutrien's mission of sustainable agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic marketing plans for the crop protection product line consistent with Loveland's long term direction, for the US and Canada
• Work closely with Loveland research/sales personnel, industry contacts, and Nutrien personnel to accurately assess market conditions and manage a portion of the Loveland crop protection portfolio
• Collaborate with sales and tech service group to validate product performances through marketing field trials
• Provide financial analysis for the product line with timely and accurate forecasts and portfolio rationalization opportunities
• Identify and implement new promotional tactics to create awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; Agriculture related field preferred
• 8+ years' professional experience with 6+ years in sales or marketing in an Ag related field
• Ability to travel 30-40% nationally and internationally (Canada)
