About The Position

Uses appropriate tools to clean and maintain public rights-of-way. This role involves the daily upkeep of shrubbery, flowers, trees, grass, and other vegetation on public rights-of-way, golf courses, and city parks. The position requires the use of various tools and machinery, and may involve operating heavy equipment, driving, or leading a crew in the absence of a crew leader.

Requirements

• One year experience in related work.
• Ability and willingness to follow instructions and perform assigned tasks.
• Must have valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate tools, power tractor, riding mowers, hand mowers, weed eaters, edgers, chain saws and hand tools to weed, prune, water, spray, fertilize, plant remove litter, and mow in the daily upkeep of shrubbery, flowers, trees, grass and other vegetation on public rights-of-way, golf courses, and in city parks.
• Helps and directs the loading and unloading of assigned vehicles with all appropriate tools, supplies and machinery to perform daily tasks.
• May be required to paint, clean or make repairs to structures, buildings, grounds or or equipment as needed.
• May be required to operate heavy equipment if trained and qualified.
• May be required to operate vehicle or be placed in charge of crew in the absence of crew leader.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
