About the position

The Credentials Coordinator is responsible for performing diversified support duties of considerable responsibility under minimal supervision for the Department Director and/or the Medical Staff. This position is part-time, requiring 20 hours weekly, with a schedule of Monday to Friday during business hours. The role is onsite at Mountain Ridge/HCA in Denver, Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified support duties for the Department Director and/or the Medical Staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Medical Staff credentialing and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

Requirements

  • Credentialing experience required.
  • Certification preferred (CPCS or CPMSM); if not certified, actively pursuing certification upon eligibility.
  • Prefer Associate Degree in Medical Staff Services Science, business or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of comprehensive experience as a Medical Staff Services professional within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Staff credentialing and organizational structure.
  • PC skills and excellent phone/public relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
