Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years Supervisory experience required, preferably in a credentialing/enrollment environment.
  • 5 years Credentialing/Enrollment experience required.
  • Experience working in credentialing software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with NCQA criteria and 3rd party payer regulations.
  • Experience with completing hospital credentialing applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Participated in implementation of credentialing software tools.
  • Recent or current hands-on experience in credentialing activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
  • Data aggregation and analysis.
  • Training experience preferred but not required.
  • CPCS/CPMSM Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of credentialing specialists to ensure timely and accurate processing of credentialing applications and payer enrollments.
  • Directly performing enrollment, credentialing, and license application/renewal functions as needed.
  • Support enterprise in technology to advance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of credentialing function(s).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to the credentialing and enrollment processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate any process improvement events.
  • Assist manager in hiring and other various projects and departmental issues as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
