About the position

The Creative Studio Assistant at The Slover in Norfolk, Virginia, is a part-time role focused on supporting the daily operations of creative studios, including design, maker, production, and sound studios. The assistant will provide customer service to clients, facilitate workshops, and assist clients in using creative software and technology. This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual creative studio clients and group workshops.
• Facilitate the creative studio intake and orientation process.
• Help clients learn and use creative software applications and related technology.
• Perform various administrative duties to support Creative Studios operations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature, typically obtained through six months to one year of advanced study or training beyond high school.
• One year of experience in the creative field or related customer service work.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read reports, applications, policies, and general correspondence.
• Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Apple MacOS computer hardware and related equipment.
• Experience with creative technology such as 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, or similar.
