About The Position

This position provides support to the execution of the EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant award by the Air Pollution Control Division. This Grant includes activities associated with monitoring and mitigation of methane emissions from various sources across the State. This position will directly support implementation of a subgrant program, perform monitoring of existing contracts associated with the grant, and assist in responses to the results of grant-funded projects. This position expires at the end of the grant period in September 2029.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in grant administration, compliance tracking, business development, project management, contract oversight, or similar.
  • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in grant administration, compliance tracking, business development, project management, contract oversight, or similar, equal to five (5) years.

  • Experience working on federal grants and with EPA grants in particular, or significant demonstrated grant experience including tracking, monitoring, reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience working with subrecipients, contractors, vendors, and/or regulated entities.
  • Experience working across teams, agencies or similar groups to advance common goals, track progress, and establish process improvements.
  • Experience in efficient analysis of incoming data, and proposing appropriate responses.

Responsibilities

  • CPRG landfill subgrant program support.
  • Support the monitoring and oversight of multiple subawardee contracts, including review of submittals, reception of inquiries and requests, and documentation of performance against established quality requirements.
  • Support the application and selection process for subawardees.
  • Assist in meeting APCD reporting requirements associated with interagency agreements and contracts.
  • Support other APCD programs in understanding programmatic needs associated with incoming permit applications, incoming compliance and design plan proposals, and other time-sensitive documents.
  • CPRG general program support
  • Support APCD’s launch of a methane plume detection and response protocol.
  • Support analysis of incoming data and project results.
  • Develop periodic reporting materials as required by the grant and interagency agreements.
  • Support contract monitoring activities as directed by supervisor or other staff.
  • Supports other Office of Innovations in Planning and Regulatory Affairs program initiatives and actions.
  • Attends meetings, serves on task forces or teams, supports projects, and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Conducts professional, position-related development activities, reviews technical literature, and attends in-house and external training.
