About the position
As an entry-level team member at Meijer, you will gain exposure to various retail tasks, focusing on customer service and store maintenance. This role emphasizes interaction with customers and performing essential duties to ensure a clean and welcoming environment in the store.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Assist at the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with various departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
