About the position
The Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger role at Pick ‘N Save focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The position involves maintaining a safe and clean environment, demonstrating core company values, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is essential in supporting the checkout process and enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring at least five items per bag without damage.
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
- Help customers load bags into their cars when needed.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts to return them to designated areas.
- Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas inside and outside of the store.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise as required.
- Understand the store's layout to locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
