County Nurse Manager - Douglasville

About the position

Under limited supervision, manages and coordinates the services and activities of the Public Health Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising professional nurses, and/or advanced level practitioners or physicians, case managers, clerical and/or technical staff. Respond to Public Health emergencies, including natural disasters. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes program structure and policies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives.
• Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
• Manages human resource and employee relations functions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
• Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
• CPR certification.
• Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Spv (HCP193) or position equivalent, experience, AND completion of PHN course within six months of hire if no PHN experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Public health experience.
• Experience with budget development and administration.
• Bilingual: Spanish and English.
