About The Position

Under general supervision, the Counter Sales Representative II provides quality customer service and support at a key location in the retail and service business segment. This role supports location sales by providing first-class customer service to the local market, assisting customers face-to-face through familiarity and knowledge of products. The representative will troubleshoot customer problems and provide creative solutions, identify and build customer assemblies, and ensure knowledge of the use of all equipment. This position works closely with the Solutions Center Manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business, assists the team in overall maintenance of the location, and participates in ensuring all safety guidelines are followed. Maintaining key relationships with customers and ensuring customer service and value-add are a focal point of every interaction are crucial. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and be hands on.
  • Capable of using hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable in a consultative transaction atmosphere.
  • Mechanical/technical inclination.
  • Industrial sales experience.
  • Hydraulic knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations a plus.
