About the position
The Counselor for the Residential Therapeutic Program at Haven of Hope, Inc. is responsible for providing support and guidance to adolescent youth aged 12-17 in a therapeutic environment. This part-time role involves working closely with a therapeutic team to maintain program structure and ensure a safe, nurturing atmosphere for the residents. The position offers flexible scheduling and the potential to transition to full-time employment with access to a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the milieu and maintain program structure.
- Plan and implement recreational, vocational, and community activities.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Teach independent living skills to residents.
- Supervise and participate in daily activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2+ years of experience in a related field.
- Crisis intervention skills.
- Supervising experience with children.
- Valid Driver's License.
