About the position

ARS Treatment Centers specialize in outpatient treatment for those suffering from opioid use disorder. Our clinic is one of ten locations in the mid-Atlantic region that provides specialized outpatient medication-assisted treatment. We are currently seeking a Counselor Intern to join our team! The Counselor provides direct counseling and case management services to patients, consisting of individual and group services, including assessment, individualized treatment plans, counseling, and aftercare services. The Counselor will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain caseload per State Regulations
• Assures incoming patients have psychosocial assessment and an interpretive summary according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
• Completes, with patient participation, a Preliminary Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
• Completes a Treatment Plan Review and update for each patient after completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan according to the timeline in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual
• Prepares an aftercare transition plan for all patients at the earliest possible time and to review prior to discharge
• Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree preferred
• Associates degree or CADC courses completed (required if no bachelor's degree)
