About the position

The Cost Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in migrating EMEA sites to fully loaded standard costs using labor routings in SAP. This position requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and standard costs within a manufacturing context. The analyst will collaborate with Operations and Finance leadership to ensure accurate labor routing times and overhead rates, while also overseeing the cost roll process and supporting go-live efforts for EMEA sites.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks required to migrate EMEA sites from current standard costing to fully loaded standard cost using labor routings in SAP.
  • Interface with Operations and Finance leadership to define accurate direct labor routing times and related labor and overhead rates.
  • Oversee and test the upload of the labor routings and rates into SAP.
  • Oversee the application of inbound freight rates to all purchased raw materials in SAP.
  • Perform cost roll process for all manufactured items in SAP for all EMEA locations and review the rolled-up costs.
  • Initiate transactions in the Q11 environment to test account mapping and SAP system setup.
  • Support mock cutover efforts prior to the go-live date for each EMEA site.
  • Support go-live cutover efforts for each EMEA site and coordinate the cost roll process.
  • Document lessons learned from each site to be incorporated into the cutover plan for subsequent sites.
  • Drive standardization of processes across all EMEA sites regarding standard costs.

Requirements

  • Experienced in standard costs
  • Cost accounting expertise
  • Inventory valuation knowledge
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Setting and maintaining standard costs
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Proficiency in SAP S3 ERP system
  • Ability to multi-task

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred, with IT or Finance specialization
