About the position
The Cost Accountant position at Church & Dwight Co, Inc. involves supporting the Supervisor of Logistics Accounting with month-end closing and analysis, quarterly PPR, and annual planning for the supply chain. The role emphasizes collaboration and ownership within a supportive team environment, contributing to the company's mission of making a significant impact through collective effort.
Responsibilities
- Support month end accounting close for both A&H & SPD divisions.
- Provide various cartage and consignment analysis and prepare and record related journal entries.
- Prepare, analyze and record monthly journal entries relating to the Sample Order chargeback.
- Provide brand analysis for new product initiatives.
- Prepare Quarterly PPR Sales volume analysis used for forecasting and provide Qtr over Qtr sales volume variance reconciliations.
- Collect and analyze distribution cost information from the international subsidiaries.
- Support the plants and the transportation department in monitoring and clearing workflow documents that affect freight accruals and freight payments for finished goods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting/Finance from an accredited institution.
- 1 - 2 years experience in cost accounting / financial accounting analysis, preferably in a multi-product, multi-plant, multi-warehouse environment.
- Supply Chain or Logistics experience is highly desired.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
