About the position

The Cost Accountant position at a leading CBD manufacturer involves supporting the financial operations of the company by ensuring accuracy in general ledger activities and maintaining compliance with audit requirements. This role is essential for analyzing cost data, advising departments on cost optimization, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities

• Support the financial operations of the company by ensuring accuracy in general ledger activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
• Analyze cost data, identify trends, and advise departments on cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain accurate product cost models.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory valuation.
• Prepare financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls preferred.
• Self-driven and able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
