The Correctional Food Service Officer II is responsible for supervising offenders in large-scale food production and service operations at Harnett Correctional Institution. This role involves training offenders in food preparation, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards, and maintaining inventory and food storage. Responsibilities

• Supervise offenders in the preparation and serving of daily meals to the facility's offender population.
• Provide food production training to offenders, including institutional cooking, baking, and serving.
• Ensure sanitation standards are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
• Supervise offenders while preparing food according to quality and sanitary regulations.
• Maintain proper food storage and monitor inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in institutional food preparation and food services, management of commercial food service operations, or as a Correctional Officer.
• Knowledge of large-scale food production and food service activities.
• Driver's License.
