About the position
The Corporate Estimator at Wisenbaker Builder Services, Inc. is responsible for preparing detailed estimates in the production and custom-building industry. This role involves reviewing plans and specifications, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring accurate data management to support the estimating process.
Responsibilities
- Completing plan estimates in a timely manner.
- Managing and assuring quality data pulled from the VEO estimating software.
- Communicating with team leaders and supervisors about estimate status and issues.
- Keeping clear and concise records/notes of all completed requests.
- Validating customer updates with account manager and implementation.
- Understanding the roles of Pricing, Design, and Data Specialist and their impact on Estimating Processes.
Requirements
- Proficient math skills, particularly in geometry, fractions, and percentages.
- Strong computer and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience reading blueprints and architectural drawings is preferred.
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple variables daily.
- Ability to interpret multiple sets of instructions in various forms (oral, diagram, and schedule).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Moderate skills in navigating VEO Estimating Software and manual estimating calculations.
- Flexibility to work overtime and some weekends.
