About the position

The Corporate Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager at Generac Power Systems is responsible for leading and executing lean improvements across the organization. This role involves designing training programs, coaching associates in lean methodologies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The CI Manager will utilize principles from the Toyota Production System and Shingo Prize methodology to eliminate waste and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of lean continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and problem-solving support to associates in lean methodologies and tools.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to meet or exceed company business objectives.
  • Facilitate lean CI kaizens to improve site metrics and deliver strategy deployment goals.
  • Train, develop, and motivate a team of facility lean professionals to champion lean goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deploy standard Generac CI tools, methodologies, standards, practices, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years of lean continuous improvement implementation experience in a manufacturing environment using Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, or Shingo Prize methodology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems).
  • Line operations experience in production or supply chain environments.
  • Experience working with international companies and in matrix organizations.
  • Understanding of financial measurements and goals in the lean enterprise.
