About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an experienced and motivated Cord Blood Collections Manager for its Gainesville, FL location. This role is crucial for leading a growing healthcare program focused on donor recruitment, hospital partnerships, and community outreach. The manager will oversee cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, hospital relationships, and outreach initiatives for the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business or healthcare-related field
• Three years of management or supervisory experience required
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities effectively
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements
• Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred
• Previous sales, recruitment, outreach, and/or healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance standards preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee cord blood collection operations, recruitment efforts, and collection site performance
• Lead onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of collection staff
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physician offices, and community partners
• Monitor collection goals, operational metrics, and program growth initiatives
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation procedures
• Identify operational concerns and implement process improvements and corrective actions
• Support donor recruitment efforts, outreach initiatives, presentations, and community events
• Assist with audits, inspections, reporting, and quality improvement activities
• Review operational reports, supply requests, inventory needs, and departmental documentation
• Collaborate with internal leadership teams to support the success of the Cellular Therapies program
• Represent LifeSouth and the Cord Blood Program in a professional and positive manner
