About The Position

This position supports plant operations through effective employee planning and scheduling in accordance with specific scheduling guidelines as provided in the collective bargaining agreement. Provide a high degree of employee support. Prepare and post the original and planned overtime employee schedules per the established CBA requirements. Update schedules in time & attendance system. Partner with department managers for effective labor utilization and planning. Support employee unplanned attendance vacancies and make schedule changes to cover vacancies per the established CBA requirements; Document employee attendance activity into time and attendance system for accurate reporting and tracking; Enter time / absence into time & attendance software. Prepare, post and apply union vacation selection scheduling in accordance with CBA requirements; Prepare and post position bid posting’s per the established job bid requirements, update bid job and job qualification spreadsheets as required; Coordinate and reconcile weekly employee uniforms (locker assignments, new orders, changes, invoice review/approval); Support new hire orientation and on-boarding activities, prepare on-boarding materials. Coordinate and reconcile security key fob program; Support internal and external audits; Support employee relations activities; Assist in evaluation of reports and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, procedures in our efforts to streamline processes and reduce areas of inefficiency or redundancy; Maintain employee training files, training metrics and position qualifications tracking spreadsheets for all employee’s; Maintenance of employee personnel, medical and LOA files in accordance with company and record retention guidelines; Act as the time, labor and payroll back up; Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality; Lead by example, exemplifying the Saputo Values and Code of Ethics; Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Education
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in an HR role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently.
  • Ability to understand and add value to Saputo business.
  • Ability to deliver and execute high-quality and consistent Human Resources processes and services.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems preferred.
