About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at our caring and community-focused nursing home. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing nutritious, delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while maintaining a warm and welcoming kitchen environment. Requirements

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, nursing home, or similar setting
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional needs of elderly residents
Ability to follow recipes and food preparation guidelines accurately
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents' specific nutritional requirements
Plan menus that are balanced, appealing, and meet health standards
Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in a safe, hygienic manner following health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure continuous food availability
Collaborate with nursing staff and dietitians to accommodate special dietary restrictions and preferences
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation policies and procedures
