About the position
The Cook position at Plymouth Crossings is focused on providing delicious and healthy meals to residents while adhering to federal, state, and local food service regulations. The role emphasizes quality cuisine and a positive work environment, under the supervision of the Food Services Director. This position offers a reliable work-life balance with stable hours.
Responsibilities
- Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
- Operates all kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, and warmer cabinets.
- Assists in establishing a food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
- Represents the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
- Prepares and serves nutritious meals, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavorful meals for residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary Arts training preferred.
- 2 years of dietary experience.
- Knowledge of dietary procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.
- Possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Primarily a standing position, may need to stand in one place for extended periods.
