About The Position

The Controls Engineer is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant. This role is categorized as onsite, meaning the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis. The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field or 4+ equivalent experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to work OT as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience in Control Architectures: - PLC: Allen Bradley - Robotics: Fanuc / ABB - Vision: Cognex / Keyence
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
  • Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to use computers, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with diverse teams throughout the plant to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities and develop inclusive mitigation plans; track corrective actions to ensure accountability.
  • Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and consistency with best practices.
  • Create and implement tests to efficiently identify opportunities for design improvements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
